Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Q.
What is the difficulty of your course?
A. Remuda was designed for
golfers of all abilities. It is a moderately difficult 6,300 yards from
the
black tees and 5,400 yards from the forward tees. We have large greens
and wide
fairways that are very forgiving. You shouldn’t lose a lot of
golf balls. The
terrain is generally flat with trees, bunkers, water hazards and mounds
in the
rough. It is heart and joint friendly for walkers, but long enough that the majority of people ride carts. It is categorized
as an American Modern
design, not a “links” style course. It has a
USGA rating of 67.2 and
slope of 97.
Q.
Can you explain to me the layout of your golf course?
A. Yes, Remuda is a
regulation sized 18-hole course. It is a modern style golf course, not
a
“links” style course. We have a par of 72. We are
6,300 yards from the black
tees. We have a residential neighborhood around the perimeter
of the
course. We have water hazards, sand and grass bunkers, trees, mounds
and rough.
It is a fun and forgiving course. If you are a golfer with regular skills you
will
probably score well and not lose too many golf balls.
We also have a great driving range with mats and
grass hitting areas, and a practice green for putting and chipping.
Q.
Can you suggest which nine (side) would be better for
me to play today?
A. The front nine is slightly
shorter than the back nine, and it meanders through the houses more. It
is
typically considered more favorable by experienced golfers. The back
nine has
more switch backs and not as many houses are in play, but it has more
water
hazards. It is typically considered more favorable by less experienced
golfers;
however, score averages are slightly higher on the back nine. On weekend mornings you
generally do not have
a choice when playing nine holes, you will probably be sent out on the
front
nine.
Q.
Do I need a Tee Time?
