Full Time Mechanic (Seasonal Mar-Nov)

Duties: Assisting the Head Grounds Keeper with day to day maintenance of the golf course equipment, specifically mowers, golf carts, and other maintenance tractors and vehicles. Must have experience and must possess strong technical skills, including oral and written communication skills. This position is full-time or part-time, non-supervisory, mechanical maintenance category.
Compensation: Starts at $8.00/Hour, negotiable depending on experience, hourly.

Job Requirements: This position is seasonal (approx. March 10 -November 15). You may be required to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays. Approx. 30-40 hour average work week. Strict attendance and punctuality is required. The duties above are not a complete list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required or performed by employees in this position. Employees may be required to perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Skill Demands: Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Spanish language skills will be an advantage to this position. Must have general knowledge of golfing equipment and supplies, the ability to smile and work with the others in a friendly and courteous manner, the ability to work effectively with minimum direct supervision, and the ability to repair tractors and other equipment as needed (such as lawn mowers.)
Physical Demands: Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Vision must be correctable to read and write. Hearing must be sufficient to understand conversation on the telephone in a noisy environment. Must have hand usage to safely operate machinery and equipment.
Conditions of Employment: To be considered for this position applicants must supply proof of a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license and a valid U.S. Social Security number. New employees will be subject to a 90 day probationary period and will be required to sign an employee agreement form.

Other Info: Remuda is open dusk to dawn every day. Majority of work days land between the months March 1 – November 30. Typical shifts are 4 – 8 hours. Employees may be required to open early morning, or close late evening. Employees must be available to work on at least 5 major holidays. Employees will be expected to follow routine tasks as well as special assignments that may include course maintenance, household cleaning of building facility, or other clerical projects.

Our regular season is March through November. We have a full 18 holes and a total yardage of 6,300. Bent grass was planted on push-up greens and Kentucky bluegrass was planted on fairways and rough. We have a beautiful clubhouse, practice green, 300 yard driving range, very large and well tended greens, very wide fairways, and automatic irrigation system, over 3,000 trees, two lakes, and yellow, white, blue and black elevated tees.
