Front Desk Cashier/Starter
(Seasonal Apr-Nov)  

 Date Position Available: April 1, 2010

Responsible to: Clubhouse Manager or assigned supervisor.

Duties: Responsible for the control desk of the golf course during shift hours. Must manage tee time reservations, operate cash register and point of sale computer, answer phones, register golfers,  assign golf carts,  start players in proper order, and supervise operations in the staging area, the golf shop, and kitchen when Clubhouse Manager is absent. This position is supervisory, non-exempt, part-time or full-time, retail category.

Compensation: $8.00/Hour, or negotiable depending on experience.

Job Requirements: You may be required to work irregular hours, (openings early morning or closings late at night,) including weekends and holidays.  20-40 hour average work week. Employees must maintain strict attendance and accomplish all task details. Must assist golf course general management and course superintendent as needed.

Skill Demands: Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must have general cash handling  skills, knowledge of golfing equipment and supplies, the ability to socialize and work with the general public in a friendly and courteous manner. Must have organization skills to manage a busy reservation tee-sheet. Must have the ability to work effectively with minimum direct supervision. Must have the ability to operate golf carts and other equipment as needed.

Physical Demands: Must be able to bend and lift  and carry up to 50 pounds.  Vision must be correctable to read and write.  Hearing must be sufficient to understand conversation on the telephone in a noisy environment. Must have hand usage to operate a computer mouse and keyboard, and to lift other objects such as chairs.

Conditions of Employment:   To be considered for this position applicants must have a High School Diploma, a valid Utah Motor Vehicle Operator's license and a valid U.S. Social Security number. New employees will be subject to a 90 day probationary period and will be required to sign an employee agreement form.

Other Info: The golf course is open dusk to dawn every day. Majority of work days land between the months March 1 – November 1. Typical shifts are 4 – 8 hours. Employees may be required to open early morning, or close late evening. Employees must be available to work on at least 5 major holidays.  Employees will be expected to follow routine tasks as well as special assignments that may include course maintenance, household cleaning of building facility, or other clerical projects.

Remuda and Crane Field are privately owned and open to the general public as a pay per play golf course. We strive to be the quality leader in affordable golf for players of all abilities. The course is a regulation 18 hole golf course with total yardage of 6,300. We have a beautiful clubhouse, practice green, 300 yard driving range,  very large and well tended greens, very wide fairways, an automatic irrigation system, over 3,000 trees, two lakes, and yellow, white, blue and black elevated tees.
