FAQ - Frequently asked questions

Q. Will there be any Covid-19 considerations we should be aware of?
A. We are planning to modify the format of our group lessons so no more than 9 people are grouped together during instruction. And those small groups will be spaced 6 feet or more apart. We will follow any other orders by the Health Dept. and State Governor. Most other aspects of the club will remain unchanged.

Q. Is this just for beginners, what about intermediate and avid golfers who want the pass?
A. Just for beginners. All members are subject to approval. If we recognize them as anything but beginner golfers they will be declined and refunded. This program is for 36 handicap women, and/or women who don’t know what handicap means. (Prior members of Club 99 are the only exception to this.)

Q. What if association members want this?
A. The pass cannot be used for tournament or association play. But they can join if they qualify as beginners and are approved. Only to use for recreational rounds of play.

Q. Are there limits on the 99 cent buckets and drinks?
A. One a day is the limit. They can be shared with other members, but not with non-members.

Q. Does it include cart rental?
A. It does not include cart rental. Cart rental is sold separately. Club rentals are also sold separately.

Q. What about husbands or family members?
A. Club 99 discounts may only be used by the member. We encourage family members to buy a discounted punch pass. Juniors are encouraged to buy Youth on Course or our youth summer punch passes. Family may not be use members 99 cent buckets of balls, or membership will be revoked.

Q. Is this for both locations?
A. Yes, there is a separate club at both locations. Todd Heugly directing class at Crane Field and Al Haag will be directing class at Remuda. Members will have to choose which course they want membership to.

Q. Do members need their own clubs?
A. Yes they do need some. Even if it’s just a putter, 7 iron, wedge, 5 wood.  Members can buy discounted Callaway Strata Sets. [See Registration forms.]

Q. Can women sign up after June 1st?
A. Yes, the price will not be reduced or prorated. Sign ups after June 30th will be given a $30 gift card to use in the golf shop to make up for missed days. Even late memberships are still worth it. There is lots of time in the summer. You will also have access to the previous member instructional videos.

Q. What if I decide to bail out after only a few rounds or a few weeks?
A. We have a no questions asked guarantee. If for any reason you feel your expectations were not we will give you a full refund. We want to make sure you feel secure knowing the membership purchase is risk-free. Our #1 concern is for you, that you have fun and learn golf.

Q. What if I don’t know anyone to golf with?
A. We would recommend attending the classes to meet some new people. You can also ask the front desk to try and find another member to pair you with when you make a tee time reservation. It’s ok if you decide to golf alone too.

Q. What if I miss one of the classes or game nights? Will there be any makeups?
A. Due to the discounted nature of this program, there will not be any make-up days. However, you will be e-mailed videos after each class reviewing the main points. Instructors can be scheduled for paid one-on-one lessons as well, at their discretion.

Q. Do second year returning club members get any special benefits?
A. Class instruction is designed for first year beginners. Returning members are encouraged to attend and help their beginner friends pick up the instruction being given. The other benefits are the same. There are additional resources online and lesson punch cards (sold separately) for players advancing into intermediate skills.

Q. Can you clarify what it means to refer a “first year friend referral” ?
A. In order for a returning member to get a referral discount on membership, they must refer a first time member and beginner player. Previous Club 99 members do not count as a new referral. Also, they must also qualify as a beginner (subject to approval.)
